A payroll company that serves small businesses has opened an office in Cary and hired about 10 people to staff it.
Priority Pay Payroll, based in Hoboken, N.J., opened its doors in January.
The company was founded four years ago by Jerry Carter, now a 29-year-old who presides over a $15 million business with nine offices.
The Cary office, at 15300 Weston Parkway, will serve all of the North Carolina market.
Existing North Carolina clients include K&H Mountain and P&A Industrial Fabrication.
“Our expansion into the North Carolina marketplace illustrates our company’s significant growth, even during these tough economic times, as well as our continued commitment to going above and beyond in order to provide our clients with excellent service,” Jerry Carter, president and CEO of Priority Pay Payroll, said in a written statement.
